The Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development (DMPED) is proud to announce the next opportunity for community input on the redevelopment of Parcel 42 through OurRFP process. OurRFP is a Mayoral Initiative that incorporates community engagement early in the request for proposals (RFP) process. Parcel 42, located at 7th and Rhode Island Avenue in the Shaw neighborhood, was the first property to use the innovative policy. DMPED hear the community's preferences and priorities for the redevelopment of Parcel 42 through a series of engagement opportunities. The feedback received was incorporated into the eventual RFP. The development teams under consideration will be presenting their vision for Parcel 42 at this Community Meeting. DMPED's goal is to continue to ensure that residents' voices are heard and that we conduct an open and transparent process for the redevelopment of this site.
