NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING WITH RESPECT
TO PROPOSED REVENUE BOND FINANCING
BY THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA

Notice is hereby given that the District of Columbia (the “District”) will hold a public hearing regarding the proposed issuance by the District of its Revenue Refunding Bonds (Edmund Burke School, Inc., Issue) Series 2019 in one or more series pursuant to a plan of financing in an aggregate principal amount not to exceed $17,000,000 (the “Bonds”). Proceeds of the sale of the Bonds, which will be issued as qualified 501(c)(3) bonds, will be loaned by the District to the Edmund Burke School, Inc. (the “Borrower”), for the financing, refinancing or reimbursing of the Borrower for all or a portion of the Borrower’s costs incurred to provide educational facilities located on the Borrower’s main campus at 4101 Connecticut Avenue, NW, Washington, DC, and 2955 Upton Street, NW, Washington, DC (the “Project”). The Borrower is the initial owner and operator of the Project. The Bonds would not be a general obligation of the District and would not be a pledge of or involve the faith and credit or the taxing power of the District.

The public hearing, which may be continued or adjourned, will be held in the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development of the District of Columbia, at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 18, 2019, at 1015 Half Street, S.E., Suite 675, Washington, D.C. 20003. Residents of the District of Columbia and persons interested in the proposed Bonds, or the location or nature of the Project, may present up to 3 minutes of oral testimony at the public hearing by providing their names, addresses, telephone numbers, and organization represented (if any) to Jasmine Brown at (202) 724-8645 or [email protected] by the close of business on Tuesday, April 16, 2019. Witnesses should bring 15 copies of their testimony to the hearing.
