You are invited to the #202Creates Kickoff Event hosted by the Office of Cable Television, Film, Music and Entertainment, Commission on Arts and Humanities and Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development.

In keeping with her historic and trendsetting initiatives for The District of Columbia, Mayor Muriel Bowser will launch the second annual 202Creates month during an Opening Night celebration at D.C.'s newest retro-themed venue, Decades. 202Creates is a city-wide effort showcasing the District’s diverse and vibrant creative community. Through an array of events taking place during the month of September, 202Creates highlights the artists, tastemakers, and entrepreneurs who contribute to the city’s creative economy throughout the year.

Upon arrival, attendees will pose for pictures on the 202Creates-branded “Step and Repeat.” Once inside, they will move between each themed floor and rooftop to discover different genres of music, food, fashion and activities that celebrate the creativity of D.C. Highlights include: DJs Farrah Flosscett, Harry Hotter, and Edwin Merino, spinning a mix of GoGo, Funk, Hip-Hop and R&B, a woman's empowerment themed floor and DC-inspired cuisine will be served from Decades' Rooftop Grill. A special video montage showcasing the District’s creatives from film, fashion, and music communities will screen throughout the night.

Please RSVP to secure attendance for you and your guest.
