The Wharf Groundbreaking Ceremony

Last Date:

800 Water Street, SW, Washington, DC 20024

Mayor Vincent C. Gray, PN Hoffman and Madison Marquette invite you to a groundbreaking ceremony to commemorate commencement of construction at The Wharf, a transformative redevelopment of the Southwest Waterfront.

A waterfront luncheon will immediately follow the groundbreaking program in recognition of the Southwest community.

The Wharf is a world-class, mixed-use waterfront development on the mile-ling historic Washington Channel, with a development area that stretches across 27 acres of land and more than 50 acres of water, from the Municipal Fish Market to Fort McNair. When complete, The Wharf will feature 3.2 million square feet of new residential, office, hotel, retail, cultural, marina and public uses including waterfront parks, promenades, piers and docks-with new Maine Avenue landscaping. The Wharf is a sustainable, large scale waterfront development by Hoffman-Madison Waterfront as part of the District of Columbia's Anacostia Waterfront Initiative.
