City Vista, built on the site of the former wax museum at 5th and K Streets, NW, is the anchor of the Mount Vernon Triangle neighborhood. The mixed-use project, developed by L5K, Lowe Enterprises, the Neighborhood Development Co., Bundy Development Corp. and CIM, includes 685 residential units (441 condos and 244 apartments) as well as a 55,000 square foot Safeway grocery store and 62,000 square feet of other neighborhood serving retail. The site also includes a 783-space underground parking garage.
Twenty percent of all residential units are set aside for renters and buyers earning between 30 percent and 80 percent of the area's median income. City Vista was being built on formerly District-controlled land and the development was coordinated by the former National Capital Revitalization Plan.
