The former United Medical Center (UMC) site is comprised of 16.8 acres situated at the northwest corner of Southern Ave SE and 13th Street SE. The Property is comprised of 4 parcels totaling approximately 732,214 square feet. The lot is improved with 3 existing building structures. The Property is located in Ward 8 and ANC 8E, and is bounded by Southern Avenue, SE to the East, 13th Street SE to the South, and Oxon Run Parkway to the West.

The site is made up of four lots in Square 5919 – lots 0801, 0802, 0803, and 0804.

The site is currently occupied by the former UMC hospital building, auxiliary structures, and surface parking.

Redevelopment Process
The first step in the redevelopment process is a surplus hearing to obtain community input on the potential public uses of the Property to inform the Mayor’s determination whether the real property is no longer required for public purposes.
