Mayor Bowser to Kick-Off DMPED’s ‘March Madness,’ Announce 17 Development Projects

(WASHINGTON, DC) – Tomorrow Mayor Muriel Bowser and Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development (DMPED) Brian Kenner will host DMPED’s second annual March Madness to announce new and upcoming projects for the District’s development community in an effort to create more quality affordable housing, support small and local business, and expand job opportunities for DC residents.

The Mayor and DMPED will be joined by the Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD), Deputy Mayor for Education (DME), Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR), Department of General Services (DGS), District of Columbia Public Library (DCPL), and the new Office of Public-Private Partnerships (OP3) to discuss the solicitation process, announce new development opportunities across all 8 Wards, and provide a forum for interaction among all areas of the District’s community, business and development sectors.
