(Washington, DC) – On Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at 12 pm, Mayor Bowser will cut the ribbon at the new Busboys and Poets restaurant located in Ward 8 in downtown historic Anacostia.
The full-service restaurant is on the ground floor of the new building for the Far Southeast Family Strengthening Collaborative, made possible by Mayor Bowser’s support including a $3 million grant, $8 million in revenue bonds from the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development and over $2 million from the DC Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) financing program administered by the DC Department of Energy and Environment and Urban Ingenuity. This innovative project builds on Mayor Bowser’s ongoing commitment to expand prosperity and create pathways to the middle class for residents across all eight wards.
