WASHINGTON, DC – The Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development today announced that three teams have been selected to submit final offers for the right to redevelop the former Hine Junior High School in the Capitol Hill neighborhood.

Each of these teams presented great ideas for this important site,” said Deputy Mayor Valerie Santos. “These three proposals were the closest in line with the Capitol Hill community’s preferences for redevelopment because they all called for a mix of neighborhood-serving retail, new housing and great public spaces.

The Hine site is located between Eastern Market and the Eastern Market Metrorail Station along Pennsylvania Avenue SE. In June, four teams presented their proposed plans for the site to the community.

The short-listed teams are:

• The Bozzutto Group/Scallan Properties/Lehr Jackson Associates/E.R. Bacon Development, LLC/Blue Skye Development/CityStrategy, LLC
• Stanton Development Corporation/Eastbanc Inc./Autopark Inc./The Jarvis Companies/Dantes Partners
• StreetSense/DSF/Menkiti Group
