(Washington, DC) – On Tuesday, March 27, at 11 am, Mayor Muriel Bowser will host the fourth annual March Madness, a special preview of new and upcoming development projects to provide more quality affordable housing, inclusive economic growth, support for small businesses, and job opportunities for all District residents. The Mayor will be joined by Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development (DMPED) Brian Kenner and other Administration officials.
The Bowser Administration launched March Madness in 2015 and to date has introduced more than 40 projects. Additionally, the Administration has announced and awarded the Neighborhood Prosperity Fund, which provides grant funding to commercial projects in areas with high unemployment; opened a first-of-its-kind inclusive incubator for underrepresented entrepreneurs; and created a Housing Preservation Fund to help protect the existing stock of affordable housing in the District.
