It's that time of the year again, the time for Mayor Muriel Bowser and the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development (DMPED) to hold their third annual March Madness event. While not related to the NCAA's tournament, it's still exciting—at least for many developers waiting to jump on the change to nab vacant properties in Washington, D.C.
Last year, there were a little over 15 projects announced. This year, there are over 20, spanning throughout almost all of the Wards in Washington, D.C.
DMPED held a Follow-up meeting on February 16th to reconnect with the community on the feedback received through the Workshop and Online Engagement Forum, further refine major community preferences and explain how community input will be incorporated in the RFP. See the Follow-up meeting presentation.
