The Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development seeks to develop a District-owned property located directly across Howard Road from the Anacostia Metro Station. The property is currently vacant and zoned for medium-density residential development. It may possibly be re-zoned to allow for mixed-use development.
This is an exciting opportunity to create a transit-oriented development in the vibrant neighborhood of Anacostia. It’s location across from a Metro station, access to the active Martin Luther King Jr Avenue corridor, and proximate to downtown Washington, DC, make this a prime development opportunity.
The Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development ("DMPED"), issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Howard Road and Shannon Place, SE.
