Housing in Downtown Program Expected to Support District in Reaching 90% of the Goal to Add 15,000 Residents Downtown by 2028

Mayor Muriel Bowser and the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development (DMPED) will host the 11th annual March Madness, the District’s yearly business showcase of new real estate, housing, and workforce support initiatives.

Mayor Bowser to Kick-Off DMPED’s ‘March Madness,’ Announce 17 Development Projects

(WASHINGTON, DC) – Tomorrow Mayor Muriel Bowser and Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development (DMPED) Brian Kenner will host DMPED’s second annual March Madness to announce new and upcoming projects for the District’s development community in an effort to create more quality affordable housing, support small and local business, and expand job opportunities for DC residents.
