Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for the Franklin School at 925 13th Street, NW

The Government of the District of Columbia, through the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development, seeks to rehabilitate the existing, approximately 51,000 square foot, historic Franklin School building, located at 925 13th Street, NW, Washington, DC 20005 and reuse the rehabilitated facility for a suitable use that is compatible with the building's historic character. DMPED invited qualified teams comprised of one or more entities ("Respondents") to respond to a Request for Qualifications ("RFQ") as part of the first phase of a two-phase process for the disposition and redevelopment of the historic Franklin School building ("the Franklin School").
Phase I: Request for Qualifications
The first phase consisted of an RFQ which was issued on April 10, 2013 and available below, with a submission date of May 23, 2013, and a Pre-Response Information Session and Site Tour on April 26, 2013.

Announcement of Short List
At the conclusion of the evaluation of the Phase I RFQ, a short list was developed. DMPED has contacted all Respondents to inform them of the RFQ results and the identified Short List of Respondent Teams for the Phase II Request for Proposals. Public presentations shall be required of the identified Short List of Respondents.
Part II: Request for Proposals
In Part II of the process, Respondents deemed to be on the Short List shall submit a proposal for the rehabilitation and reuse of the Franklin School building.
