(WASHINGTON, DC) – Mayor Vincent C. Gray today said he looks forward to discussing his proposed Fiscal Year 2012 Budget and Financial Plan with residents at his Ward 3 town hall meeting on Tuesday, May 3, at 7:00 p.m. at Alice Deal Middle School, located at 3815 Fort Drive NW. Ward 3 Councilmember Mary Cheh will co-host the meeting, along with the Ward 3 Democratic Committee and Ward 3 Republicans. It's the third in a series of budget briefings Mayor Gray is holding through May 9 to educate and receive feedback from residents in every ward about his plan to ensure fiscal stability for the District of Columbia. Staff from various District government agencies will be on hand to provide information about services at each meeting.
Meanwhile, Mayor Gray expects a great turnout at the Ward 4 town hall meeting, co-hosted by Councilmember Muriel Bowser, at 7:00 this evening at Brightwood Elementary School, 1300 Nicholson Street NW.
The next budget session is scheduled for Wednesday, May 4, at 7 p.m. at Luke C. Moore Academy High School, located at 1001 Monroe Street NE, in Ward 5. In addition, the Mayor will have a special youth town hall on Saturday, May 21, at 10 a.m. in the Mayor's Press Briefing Room (G-9) of the John A. Wilson Building. The entire list of town hall meetings is available at http://budget.dc.gov/community-meetings and on www.dc.gov.
