The Rhode Island Avenue, NE Great Streets Initiative is a multiple agency effort in the District of Columbia to transform Rhode Island Avenue, NE corridor into a thriving and inviting neighborhood center using public actions and tools as needed to leverage private investment.

This is an important and long-overlooked corridor that is well-positioned to gain in its importance and prominence to the District.  To facilitate this initiative the District of Columbia has developed the Rhode Island Avenue Great Streets Initiative Strategic Development plan which can be found in the "related programs" section of this web page
