Neighborhood Investment Fund


The Neighborhood Investment Fund was not funded for Fiscal Year 2012.

 

The Neighborhood Investment Fund is an annual, non-lapsing fund to finance economic development and neighborhood revitalization in 12 targeted areas of the District. The fund is capitalized by an annual contribution of 15 percent of the personal property tax, not to exceed $10 million. The Neighborhood Investment Fund supports neighborhood revitalization through the Target Area Grant Program (TAPG) and Predevelopment and Project Grants (PDG).

The Neighborhood Investment Fund (NIF) Program offers two funding programs to 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organizations in the District of Columbia.

Neighborhood Investment Fund Predevelopment Grant and Project Grant

The NIF Predevelopment Grant and Project Grant (PDG) provides grants to support predevelopment and project financing activity for the construction and rehabilitation of affordable housing, mixed use and community-based facility projects.
